Metal Intalox Saddle Ring
The Metal Intalox Saddle ring is one of the most widely used random packings, and it is composed of annulus and saddle. It has two curves (top camber is elliptic curves while the bottom one is semicircular curves). This shape effectively improves the separation efficiency and decreases the gas-passing resistance of the random packing. It is widely applied in the absorption tower, cooling tower and regeneration tower of chemical, metallurgy, coal gas and environmental protection industries.
Compared with Raschig rings, the Metal Intalox Saddle ring has lower pressure drop and better efficiency. It is also high-strength and low cost. It is suitable for the packing of various packed towers of different diameters, such as the deep vacuum tower and high-pressure tower.
This type of ring has larger void volume and arc-shaped liquid passage, which increases the porosity of the packed layer and decreases the resistance of the downward fluid. Besides, the surface of the ring is smooth, which is suitable for the acidic or alkaline liquids.
It is resistant to organic and inorganic acids, corrosive solvents and strong chemicals. It is used as the filling in drying tower, intermediate absorber and final absorber of sulfuric acid regeneration unit. It is made of acid-resistant ceramic and stainless steel.
Cascade Mini Ring
The cascade mini ring is an improved ring based on the metal intalox ring. It combines the advantages of pall ring and saddle ring. It can not only reduce the gas passing resistance, but also increase the flux of gas and enhance the separating efficiency. It is successfully used in the mass transfer tower both small and large diameter.
This ring is widely applied in the absorption tower, separation tower and regeneration tower of chemicals, metallurgy, coal gas, environmental protection and other industries. It is made of stainless steel, carbon steel or plastics.
Generally, the size of this ring is 25#, 38#, 50# and 70#. It is also available in the round and baguette shapes.
